The treetop adventure park at Roussas in Drôme Provence — Vert’tige Aventure — is one of the activities our Mas Saint Antoine guests love most. Just 30 minutes away, this adventure park offers 15 courses adapted to all ages, from toddlers of 2½ to adults craving thrills, crowned by a 350-metre, 50-metre-high mega zip line. After ten years welcoming families and groups, it’s an address I recommend without hesitation.
What is Vert’tige Aventure and why is it a must?
Vert’tige Aventure is a treetop adventure park in Roussas, Drôme Provence, set in natural woodland close to Valaurie and Grignan. Founded in 2016, it stands out for three things:
- The breadth of the offer: 15 numbered courses split into two worlds — 6 Little Explorers courses for children and 9 Great Adventurers courses for the more daring.
- The mega zip line: 350 metres long, 50 metres high — one of the longest in the Drôme-Ardèche area. An unforgettable experience.
- Eco-responsibility: timber used for some installations comes from their own forest, paths are marked to protect tree roots, and educational panels raise environmental awareness among visitors of all ages.
Safety-wise, all courses are fitted with a continuous safety line — the most secure system available, preventing accidental unclipping. After a 20-minute induction (equipment, briefing, test course), you explore in autonomy while experienced monitors stay on the ground at all times.

When is the best time to visit? Which season to choose?
Spring (April-June): freshness and availability
The park opens from 4 April. The forest is cool, queues are minimal and children are at their liveliest. Excellent for families during the spring school holidays or May bank holiday weekends.
Summer (July-August): full swing and night adventures
July and August mean 7-day opening from 9 am to 7 pm — and evening night-climbing sessions, a unique torchlit experience in the forest. Visitor numbers are higher: arrive at opening time or early afternoon for the most comfortable experience.
Autumn (September-October): our top pick for groups
This is the ideal period for our group guests. The Drôme Provence glows in golden autumn light, visitor numbers drop noticeably, and the courses take on a more serene, atmospheric quality. If you are organising a company seminar, team-building day or privatised weekend at Mas Saint Antoine, a half-day at Vert’tige Aventure fits perfectly into your out-of-season programme.
What mistakes should you avoid?
- Not booking. Booking is essential — do not arrive without a reservation.
- Arriving too late. The mega zip line closes 1 hour before park closing. If you arrive at 5:30 pm in July (closing at 7 pm), you will miss it. Allow a minimum of 3 hours on site.
- Wrong footwear. Closed-toe shoes (trainers) are mandatory. Skirts, dresses and very short shorts are not recommended with a harness.
- Following GPS blindly. Roadside advertising is banned on rural roads here. Follow the directional signs on roundabouts from Montélimar Sud or from Grignan.
- Ignoring the weather. In the event of an orange weather alert, the park closes automatically. Check the forecast the day before and contact the park if in doubt.
